The former Hotel OVRUC was built in the late 1960s to accommodate journalists who came to Strbske Pleso for Ski Worldcup in 1970. The hotel holds its name after the Ukrainian town OVRUC, where Slovak army captain Nalepka died during the World War II. Journalists from the whole world stayed in the hotel and there was also the official championship press center here.  Nearly 150.000 visitors came to Strbske Pleso to  watch the ski jumping that is even today the record of High Tatras visitor statistics.

During the last decades the hotel fell into ruins and we are very pleased there was a developer who contructed this beautiful hotel at the place of the old building.

Hotel OVRUC before and after the reconstruction:

The hotel was completely finished in 2022 and offers all features for demanding customers – luxury apartments, underground parking, wellness, 24/7 reception, ski room, etc.
